Carpentry: Intro. To Construction Drawings, Specifications and Layout
This course describes the information contained in construction drawings, including foundation, floor, and other plan view drawings, as well as how to read them. It also describes how to interpret schedules and specifications, and how to use the 3-4-5 rule to square buildings. At the conclusion of the course, students will be able to:
· Describe the types of drawings usually included in a set of plans and describe the information found on each type.
· State the purpose of written specifications.
· Identify the methods of squaring a building.
Course cost includes book and lab materials.
