For contractors and subcontractors, the first step into the world of BIM is to start using 3D models for MEP coordination. If you haven’t been modeling and coordinating MEP systems in 3D on your current projects, you are on the outside looking in. The most prevalent tool for performing 3D MEP coordination is called Navisworks, which brings together all MEP models and automatically identifies conflicts between systems. Using 3D models to create and coordinate shop drawings has numerous benefits to everyone involved in a project. There is potential for cost and time savings, but more importantly, improving communication between everyone involved on a project.
In this Session Attendees Will Learn:
How to Get Started Using Models for Coordinating MEP Systems About Autodesk Navisworks & How it Operates, The Process for Coordinating Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical and Fire Protection with 3D Models Using Autodesk Navisworks
