The purpose of this class is to emphasize the importance and practical consequences of certain contract clauses and how to recognize their benefits and hazards. Simple clauses, both good and bad, of each of the “Dirty Dozen” Construction Contract Clauses: Scope of Work Clauses, Contingent payment clauses, Adequacy of design, Delay Clauses, Site Condition changes, Indemnification, Consent to Assignment, Waiver or Lien Rights, and Limitation of Liability.
