The winner of the 2011 Associate/Supplier of the Year is Kevin Thomas, Jr. of Insurance and Financial Services.

The Associate/Supplier member of the year is given to the individual that has made a significant contribution to the association through committee involvement and sponsorship of ABC events. This award was started 11 years ago to recognize this important part of ABC’s membership.

“This year’s award is given to an individual who truly believes in the fundamental values of ABC and has committed countless hours of his time to the association,” said ABC Delaware President Ed Capodanno. “When ABC embarked on an initiative 5 years ago to identify and engage future leaders of our association, he was appointed chair of the Future Leaders Committee. Under his guidance, the ABC Future Leaders Committee has worked to help engage young leaders in our industry through educational opportunities, networking events, construction job site tours and other activities. This year, he was the driving force behind the creation of a mentoring program that matched future leaders with members of the ABC Board of Directors. And Kevin’s employer, Insurance and Financial Services, has been a long time supporter of ABC through sponsorships, committee involvement and meeting participation.”

In addition to chairing the ABC Future Leaders Committee, Thomas is also a member of the Public Relations Committee.
