This seminar will offer a brief overview of Bankruptcy, including the various chapters and the bankruptcy process. It will highlight the provisions of the Bankruptcy Code that are most relevant to the construction industry, including the automatic stay, the discharge injunction and preference Actions. Attendees will learn the Proof of Claim process, guidelines for doing business with a debtor in bankruptcy and tips for dealing with a distressed entity before it files for bankruptcy.
